October goal:

I’ve hit my goal for the year, but I’ll still set a goal of 4 books this month.

What I read:

Note: I’ve quit linking titles to that big site that funds the rich dude and his space wars with other rich dudes. This month, I’ve linked to Goodreads, but next month, I’m going to look at linking directly to a site that will support indie bookstores.

  • June -1237
  • July – 1977
  • August – 1970

  • October – 1575

Reading Goals:

1. Read 36 books I finished 6 books, and I completed my goal in September. (my Goodreads Challenge)

2. Decrease my TBR –

  • Jan 1 – 71 physical26 Kindle
  • Feb 1 – 68/26
  • Mar 1 – 67/26
  • Apr 5 – 66/26
  • May 1 – 65/26
  • Jun 5 – 66/25
  • Jul 1 – 63/25
  • Aug 8 – 63/25
  • Aug 31 – 63/26
  • Oct 1 – 63/25
  • Nov 1 – 62/23

3. Read 12 not-novels –

  • Jan – 2 (nonfiction zen, memoir)
  • Feb – 1 (memoir/audiobook)
  • Mar – 3 (3 nonfiction/memoirs, 2 of which were audiobooks)
  • Apr – 3 (2 nonfiction/memoirs, 1 poetry)
  • May – 1 (1 nonfiction/audiobook)
  • Jun – all 4! (1 narrative nonfiction, 2 short stories, 1 essay)
  • Jul – 2 (YA, mem/audiobook)
  • Aug – 2 (2 mem/audiobook)
  • Sept – 1 mem/audiobook
  • Oct – 2 (1 photo book, 1 short story)

4. Read 21 minutes per day – I’ve only missed 2 days all year. I’m on a 46-day streak.

I love reading spooky books during “Poe-tober,” but I hit some stinkers. And even though I read 6 books, it didn’t amount to a lot of pages. I have several books ready at the library, including 2 audiobooks. November should be a great month for books and puzzles. I’ll set a goal of 4 books.
