September goal:
This month has the potential to be wild, so I’ll set a goal of 4 books for September and try to stay on pace.
It’s always interesting to look back to what I wrote a month ago about my expectations for the next few weeks. If only I’d had any idea how “wild” September would be.
What I read:
- The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World—Melinda Gates (audiobook)
- 4* (Sept 5)
- Review
- The Turn of the Screw—Henry James
- 3.5* (Sept 20)
- Review
- Hyperbole and a Half—Allie Brosh
- 4.5* (Sept 26)
- Review
- Solutions and Other Problems—Allie Brosh
- 4.5* (Sept 30)
- Review
Excuse(s) for Not Reading More: I’m not unhappy with what I accomplished considering life events.
Diversity? A non-fiction book, a classic horror novella, and 2 sorta-graphic novels.

Oh, September. Good riddance and be gone. October is when I focus on creepy and dark, so I expect next month’s report won’t win any awards for diversity. I’ll set a goal of 4 books to keep up with my goal for the year.
