June goal:

I’ll commit to 3 books for June.

What I read:

  1. A Murderous RelationDeanna Raybourn
  2. The Good Liar—Catherine McKenzie
  3. No One Is Too Small to Make a DifferenceGreta Thunberg
  4. The Shadow of the WindCarlos Ruiz Zafón

Excuse(s) for Not Reading More: I did OK, considering everything going on.

Diversity? I’d classify 3 of them as suspense/thrillers (modern, 1800s, 1930s). And a compilation of climate change speeches.

Star Ratings: Based on the flat stars Goodreads displays in list-view, not the quarter-star system I assign in my reviews.

  • 3 stars:  8 books
  • 2 stars:  2 books
  • 1 star: 1 book

  • June – 1333

Reading Goals:

1. Read 48 books I’m still 2 books behind. (my Goodreads Challenge)

2. Decrease my TBR –

  • Jan 1 – 77 physical22 Kindle
  • Feb 3 – 74/22
  • Mar 2 – 74/26
  • Apr 16 – 73/26
  • May 1 – 73/26 (no change)
  • Jun 1 – 72/27
  • Jul 1 – 72/26

3. Read 12 not-novels – Nonfiction, poetry, essays, or fiction anthologies all count.

  • Mar – 2 (vignettes, audiobook/memoir)
  • Apr – 1 (audiobook/memoir)

I exceeded my goal of 3 books. Summer is here and COVID (and therefore quarantine) rages on, so I have no real reason to think I won’t have ample reading time in July. I’ll commit to reading 4 books (but what a dream to read 6 and no longer be behind pace?).
