Welcome to Friday Reads. Each Friday, I’ll review any books I’ve completed that week, as well as share what I’m reading right now. And by “Each Friday,” I mean “some Fridays.”

The past couple of weeks were a reading flashback to last year when I got stuck on books I didn’t enjoy and rather than move on, I just didn’t read at all.

Currently Reading:

Becoming – Michelle Obama (9%)

Amazing so far. I may end up buying a copy since I don’t want to rush reading it and the library will be taking back my copy soon. She’s such an inspiration.

Milkman – Anna Burns

I only made it about 19 pages into this book despite multiple attempts to read it for book club. It’s a great reminder that just because something won prestigious awards doesn’t mean it’s for you.

Juliet’s School of Possibilities – Laura Vanderkam

I haven’t started this one yet because something else became available. That happens often with books I own vs. those I’m borrowing. Soon! In the meantime, I’m enjoying her podcast, Before Breakfast.

The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas

This book is another that’s been in my library queue for awhile, now suddenly it’s here.
