Welcome to Friday Reads. Each Friday, I’ll review any books I’ve completed that week, as well as share what I’m reading right now. And by “Each Friday,” I mean “some Fridays.”
It’s the first Friday of the year! And I’m determined to keep myself more on-track with my reading this year so I don’t end up behind like in 2018. First step – accountability!
Zen and the Art of Happiness – Chris Prentiss – 5* (Jan 1)
It wouldn’t be a new year if I didn’t start off with this book! Another year, another discovery of bits I hadn’t focused on previously. It’s always worth the time to read this little book and be reminded that while the world around me may not be within my control, my reactions to it are. (This is my 8th time reading this book.)
The Second Mrs. Hockaday – Susan Rivers
I don’t remember what list I found this on or which friend recommended it, but I’ve chosen it as the inaugural read for our online bookclub. It looks promising so I hope I (and the rest of the group) won’t be disappointed.
