Time for the next category in the RWC 2017 Reading Challenge.
Category #23: A book you’re embarrassed to be seen with in public
I’m late with this post because I’ve been having trouble figuring out how to approach it. We all have different things that might embarrass us based on our comfort levels.
For some, this category may mean a guilty pleasure book – one of those bodice-rippers with a long-haired man on the front. Or maybe it’s something that gives away your religious or political views. Maybe you’re an adult obsessed with YA fiction. Maybe you read books in other languages. Perhaps a self-help book.
Pick a book that would make your comfort level plummet. You’re not required to actually read it in public, but it might be an interesting experience. Nobody knows what you’re reading on your Kindle and I’m certainly not going to tell if you’ve wrapped a copy of How to End Co-Dependency Between You and Your Cat in a dust jacket for War and Peace.
What will you read to complete this category? Leave a comment below with your thoughts about these or any I may have missed.
If you have suggestions for books that fit in future categories, let me know. I’ll include your name (and a link, if you like) when I share those suggestions.
