I finally caught up on my posts on Instagram. More importantly, I’m back to reading actual books! I’m happy to count audiobooks as “reading,” but even I’m willing to admit that my February “reading” barely qualified. But this last month, I’ve read several books on my Kindle.

April goal:

I’ll commit to 3 books for April (I’ve already finished my first).

What I read:

In-progress:

Abandoned:

  • Once Upon a Tome—Oliver Darkshire

Note: I quit linking titles to that big site that funds the rich dude and his space wars with other rich dudes. I’ve linked to Goodreads, but if you’re looking to support independent bookstores, my favorite local shop is Old Town Books (they ship!), and you can support my favorite podcast and a local shop of your choosing through their Bookshop.org link at KickBezosInTheBalls.org. And you can never go wrong with your local library!

2024 Progress

  • 5 stars: 1 book
  • 4 stars: 7 books
  • 3 stars: 2 books
  • 2 stars: 3 books
  • 1 star: 0 books
  • 0 stars: 0 books
  • Abandoned: 4 books
  • Not rated: 0 books

Pages Read/Hours Listened: (does not include partial books, abandoned books, or edited manuscripts)

  • January – 803p, 9h 31m
  • February – 593p, 14h 41m
  • March – 1034p, 0 (I listened to some but didn’t finish)
  • April – 1770p, 0 (no audiobooks)

Reading Goals:

1. Read 36 books I finished 5 books toward my Goodreads Challenge and I’m one ahead of schedule.

  • Audiobooks: 3
  • Kindle: 10
  • Physical books: 0

2. Decrease my TBR –

* I purged a LOT of books when we moved, so I’ll need to update this once we unpack at some future date.

3. Read 24 minutes per day – April 30 was Day 958 of my reading streak.

I did a surprising amount of reading in April, and none of it involved audiobooks! Though some of it did involve a back injury.

I’ll commit to 4 books for May, including a business book that’s almost finished.
