June goal:

Here’s hoping I find my reading groove again in June (I have several books I’m excited about), so I’m setting a goal of 4, including the 2 that are in-progress.

Reading Goals:

1. Read 36 books I finished 4 more books, and I’m currently 3 books ahead. (my Goodreads Challenge)

2. Decrease my TBR –

  • Jan 1 – 71 physical26 Kindle
  • Feb 1 – 68/26
  • Mar 1 – 67/26
  • Apr 5 – 66/26
  • May 1 – 65/26
  • Jun 5 – 66/25
  • Jul 1 – 63/25

3. Read 12 not-novels –

  • Jan – 2 (nonfiction zen, memoir)
  • Feb – 1 (memoir/audiobook)
  • Mar – 3 (3 nonfiction/memoirs, 2 of which were audiobooks)
  • Apr – 3 (2 nonfiction/memoirs, 1 poetry)
  • May – 1 (1 nonfiction/audiobook)
  • Jun – all 4! (1 narrative nonfiction, 2 short stories, 1 essay)

4. Read 21 minutes per day – I finally missed a day while we were traveling. (181/182), but I read more minutes overall.

June started off slow—I had already started 2 of these books, and they were both a struggle. But I really enjoyed the 2 books I read at the end of the month. And now I’ve started an audiobook and novel that I’m really enjoying (and I have a couple in the hold queue at the library), so I’m hopeful July will be a good reading month. I’m setting a goal of 3 books, which should be easily attainable.
